Most people know that the cost of health care and medication in countries like the United States can be significant, but Minister Dr. John Haggie says health care coverage varies from province to province. What is covered by MCP in this province may not be covered in Ontario.
Ambulance services are not covered by MCP, and each province has a different schedule of medications.
He says they have had people with an NLPDP drug card who ran out of medication while in another province, only to find out that their drug card is not valid outside this province.
