Michael Harvey has been named the province’s new Privacy Commissioner.
Harvey was named by a selection panel, essentially controlled by government, which then provided a short list to Premier Dwight Ball, PC Leader Ches Crosbie and NDP Leader Allison Coffin.
Coffin says everyone agreed Harvey was the right person for the job.
She says it was obvious that Harvey was the superior candidate.
