The bail hearing for a convicted child killer accused in an armed home invasion in Kilbride has been moved to next week.
James Purcell, 39, and April Warford, 29, are accused of entering a home on Bay Bulls Road, armed with weapons. It happened Friday, July 9.
Police say the pair fled on foot, and were arrested a short time after the incident. Both are facing charges of break and enter, two counts of robbery, assault with a weapon, and firearms offences.
In 2011, Purcell pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of his then-girlfriend’s three-year-old son. He was sentenced to 7.5 years in jail for the crime.
Warford has been released on bail. Purcell will have his bail hearing next week.
