Police have made an arrest following an operation focused on break and enters in the metro region.
RNC officers and police dog services went to the home of a 42-year-old man in St. John’s at about 7:30 last night, and arrested him.
The arrest was made in connection with Operation Reprieve, which was investigating a high volume of break and enters in the metro area. The crimes often occurred while the residents were at home.
The man is appearing on court today on numerous charges including assault with a weapon, uttering threats, trafficking in property obtained by crime and court order breaches.
The RNC is asking people to call them with information on break and enters as their investigation is ongoing.
