Mount Pearl School of Dance has sent off their third dancer of the summer to a national dance program.

Alysha Flynn is one of them.

She is beginning the professional summer intensive program at Victoria Academy of Ballet in Victoria, BC this week.

Flynn sent off an audition video this spring and was accepted the following day. Although the video does not take that long to make, preparation can be anywhere between 23-35 hours a week.

She is an aspiring ballet dancer and has been a student at her Mount Pearl dance school since 2009.

She says she will get to meet a lot of important people in the ballet world.

She says it is unimaginable and a great opportunity.
