The President and CEO of Marathon Gold says the company is moving to the next phase in developing a gold mine in central Newfoundland.
Phillip Walford says exploration at the Valentine Lake project site has proven promising and with almost 5-million ounces of gold, they’re ready to move to development.
He says it’s the largest gold mine on the island, if not the province. He calls it very exciting news for the central Newfoundland region and the entire province.
