Green Depot in Mount Pearl is closed this evening after the smell of propane was reported by employees around 11:30 this morning.
St. John’s Regional Platoon Chief Dean Foley says they responded to an odour call and the building was evacuated.
The building was opened and ventilated by crews and paramedics responded to the scene to assess workers. There were no injuries.
Foley says there was a propane line in the area that needed to be shut down. A follow up investigation is underway.
