Happy City St. John’s is organizing a series of forums to welcome newcomers and familiarize them with opportunities and supports.
Events coordinator with Happy City, Tyler Downey says forums are planned in key city neighborhoods starting with Shea Heights on Monday.
Anyone new to the capital city is welcome.
He says when they say newcomer, they mean anyone from outside of St. John’s.
The sessions will allow people originally from St. John’s and those from elsewhere to be engaged, and get to know each other.
He says with greater diversity of people around the table, you get a better sense of what everyone is going through.
The first in our series of 7 Neighbourhood Forums for Newcomers is this Monday Aug 5, 6-9pm at the Shea Heights Community Centre. All are welcome! pic.twitter.com/dJbO4UeN3W
