Police arrested an impaired driver in Kilbride yesterday evening with the help of several bystanders.
The RNC were called to the Fahey Street area just before 9:30 p.m to reports of a collision.
Police say the driver of one of the vehicles, a 45-year-old man, attempted to leave the scene of the accident on foot, but was followed by several bystanders.
The man is now facing charges of impaired driving, hit and run, operating while suspended and for not having a valid license. The man was also found to be owing $4,000 in fines.
His vehicle was impounded and he was held for court.
