A dangerous driver was taken off the road early this morning thanks to a tip from the public.
Just after 3:00 a.m. the RNC got a report that a driver had collided with a pole on Elizabeth Avenue in St. John’s and had continued on, driving erratically.
Police were able to locate and stop the driver, a 29-year-old man driving at three times the limit who ended up with a raft of charges including impaired driving and and speeding.
His license was suspended and his vehicle impounded.
