Detours on the Veterans Memorial Highway are no more as of this morning.

The Department of Transportation and Works says regular traffic flow will resume on the Veterans and drivers will no longer have to detour around highway construction work.

Work to complete paving, highway shoulders and install guiderails and signs will continue throughout the rest of August.

Detours may be put back in place if speeding and dangerous driving behaviour poses a safety risk to workers.
