Live traps have been set up in Labrador West following a number of recent bear sightings in and around Lab City and Wabush.
RNC received numerous reports of black bears in the last few days. Conservation officers have set three live traps and have increased patrols in the area.
Anyone who sees a black bear is asked to keep a safe distance, and contact the area conservation officer at 709-280-3747 or the RNC at 709-944-7602
