A new employment assistance office has officially opened on the island’s west coast. The brand new Employment OPTIONS office is the second of four to open in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The centre, which has been functional since March, officially opened in the Millbrook Mall, today.

The office provides services to Employment Insurance-eligible clients, including career planning, job research assistance, and skills and portfolio building.

Funding for the centre is provided federally through the Canada-Newfoundland Labour Market Development Agreement.
