Mile Zero Ultimate has rolled out a brand new ultimate frisbee league for those 35 and older who are looking to get out and exercise.
The vice-president of communications with Mile Zero Ultimate, Rachael Fitkowski, says the goal of the league is to offer a spot for older players to give ultimate a try.
She says they’ve heard from players that it’s intimidating for them to join a sport and play against players who may be younger and faster.
Creating this master’s division takes the intimidation factor out of it. Fitkowski says it may still be a competitive league but it gives a different opportunity than other leagues they’ve had in the past.

Fitkowski will join VOCM’s Ben Murphy tonight, on the VOCM Monday Night Sports Show.
