The man who sold the first ever Ford Mustang has been officially invited to visit the historic car in the Henry Ford Museum.
Harry Phillips sold the world’s first Mustang in St. John’s in 1964.
Now approaching his 85th birthday, Phillips’ daughter Stephanie Mealey started the Send Harry to Henry campaign to get him recognized, and given a tour of the museum featuring the car he sold.
This week Harry received an official invitation from the Museum to come and visit, and see the car prominently displayed, still showing off its Newfoundland plates.
