A cliff-diving moose in Notre Dame Bay is inspiring art in the province.
Jayn Pretty saw the story of the moose that took a dip off Nippers Harbour on VOCM and decided to immortalize the occasion with art.
Rock Art aficionados create tiny paintings on beach rocks to leave hidden around the province for passersby to discover.
Pretty often makes rock art with her children. She says they were inspired by the story.
Pretty says when you look at the video, the moose is “totally going for it” diving right in face first. She laughs, saying we could all learn a lot from that moose.
There are currently over 27,000 members of the NL Rock Art Facebook community, where Pretty posted a picture of her rock.
She says if you’d like a closer look, you’ll just have to go explore.
