The race for mayor of Dildo is heating up with an unexpected name being tossed into the mix.

Russ Chafe and his wife Joan came up with the idea to have Jimmy Kimmel’s nemesis Matt Damon run as his opposition.

The friendly feud has been going on between the two for years, and this could just be what helps push the gag and publicity even further.

While Damon is unaware at this time that his name is being thrown into the ring, Chafe says it’s all in good fun. At the end off the day, it’s all about promoting Newfoundland, not just Dildo. Chafe says Newfoundland and Labrador is one of the most beautiful places he’s ever lived in and he wants as many people to see it as possible.

A few hours after the Matt Damon for Mayor sign made it’s appearance in Dildo, Matt Damon was trending in Canada on Twitter.
