Nalcor CEO Stan Marshall has indicated that a stand-alone oil corporation could be established by the end of the year.
The provincial government announced last year that it would be establishing OilCo, a stand-alone offshoot of Nalcor focused on the oil and gas industry.
Marshall was asked for an update on the process during Nalcor’s second quarter financial update yesterday.
He says it depends on the provincial government, but his understanding is that the aim is to have it established by the end of the year.
