NAPE President Jerry Earle says the people of the province deserve better – he wants government and health authorities to come up with a solution to Ambulance Red Alerts.
A “Red Alert” happens when there are no ambulances available to respond to calls.
Earle says the frequency and duration of red alerts, particularly in the Western and Labrador-Grenfell regions, were very troubling – and says in central, the information is not being tracked at all. He says that must change.
He says the data must be tracked to determine where the resources are needed, and what resources the province is lacking.
