A Newfoundlander has been appointed to a high level position with the award-winning National Film Board of Canada.
Teri Snelgrove, who grew up in St. John’s, has been appointed as Producer of the NFB’s Vancouver-based production unit.
Snelgrove is a graduate of the film/video program at Emily Carr University and has worked in the cultural community in Vancouver for over 30 years.
Even after all those years, Snelgrove says being a Newfoundlander has helped inform the work she does. She says even when you leave home, you never really leave it. Culture is integral to society and is a big part of all of us.
