One person was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in the centre of St. John’s early last evening.
Emergency crews were called shortly before 6:30 last night to the intersection of Aldershot Street and Calver Avenue after a car and SUV collided. Upon arrival, firefighters had to quickly extinguish a small fire in one of the cars involved.
The female driver of the SUV was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, while the lone occupant of the second vehicle was uninjured. Damage to both vehicles was extensive.
