There is nothing left of a former seniors home in Baie Verte consumed by a raging fire overnight.
Another major fire in Baie Verte at this hour. Just south of town on highway 410. Please slow down and respect first responders. #nltraffic #cbcnl #NTVNews @VOCMNEWS @RCMPNL @CBCNews @CBCAlerts @NTVNewsNL pic.twitter.com/UJJJT1NMgp

Crews from the Dorset Trail Regional Fire department as well fire fighters from the Coachman’s Cove department battled the inferno throughout the night.
Fire Chief Lorne Head says it was a hard fought fire.
He says there are no fire hydrants in the area, so they essentially had to set up a bucket line using two pumper trucks carrying water back and forth from town.
Four people were living in the structure, just south of Baie Verte on route 410, but were able to escape without injury.
RCMP fire investigators remain on the scene today to determine the cause of the blaze.
