Police nabbed three uninsured drivers on the roads in the metro region Saturday.
The first around 2:30 p.m. when police stopped a vehicle in the area of Snows Lane and Torbay Road. A 52-year-old woman, the owner of the vehicle, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with allowing an unregistered vehicle to be driven.
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old man behind the wheel was charged with driving an uninsured vehicle, and the vehicle was impounded.
Then just an hour later police stopped a 41-year-old man on the CBS highway and as a result he was charged with driving with no insurance, expired registration and having false stickers attached to the vehicle. He was released, but his vehicle wasn’t.
Finally around suppertime police stopped another vehicle on the CBS highway where a 32-year-old woman was charged for failure to transfer ownership and driving with no insurance. She was released, but her vehicle was impounded.
