A gale warning in the Cabot Strait has put tonight’s ferry crossings on hold, and tomorrow may not fair any better.

Marine Atlantic says tonight’s ferries to Nova Scotia from both Port aux Basques and Argentia have been postponed until tomorrow, weather permitting.

However, tomorrow may be affected as well.

Environment Canada says gale force winds of 34 to 47 knots are expected in the gulf.
