Employees with the Town of Placentia will soon be back to work after seven weeks on the picket line.
CUPE announced today that local 1761 has finalized a new collective agreement with the town.
According to the union, the agreement includes wage increases and what it calls “other improvements” for workers.
The contract takes effect from April 1, 2018 and expires after a four-year term.
Local 1761 president Gerry Quilty offered his thanks to the community for patience and support offered through the strike.
