A bizarre incident unfolded on Waterford Bridge Road in St. John’s Monday morning just as people were on their way to work.

A vehicle collided with a light pole at about 8:00. A man then got out of the car and allegedly proceeded to attempt to get into at least one other vehicle.

One person with knowledge of the incident says a woman in one of those cars jumped out of her vehicle with keys in hand to prevent the man from getting in.

The RNC arrested a 37-year-old man and charged him with mischief and breaching a court order.
