Marine Atlantic crossings in the gulf are now back on schedule.

The crossings for Port aux Basques and North Sydney were cancelled for last night and this morning, but the forecast changed and this morning’s crossing did go ahead, albeit last minute.

Darrell Mercer of Marine Atlantic says everything is back to normal. He says all systems go, there’s been a significant improvement in the forecast. The system moved along faster than originally forecast.

The tropical storm working its way around the south coast of the island was the cause for the interruptions.
