The Town of Paradise is trying to make things right after sewage backed up and sprayed into a residents yard overnight on Wednesday.
After initially backing up on August 12, the town’s sewage station located at the intersection of Topsail Road and St. Thomas Line had a malfunction again this week spraying waste into the yard of a nearby home.
Mayor Dan Bobbett says the residence on St. Thomas Line has been given an apology and is handling the situation well. He says the town did offer accommodations to the family but they declined and says the town knows the noise and smell is a major inconvenience to anyone.

The Town of Paradise is considering purchasing the land from the family, a suggesting being tabled at the town’s next meeting.
When asked about time line, he says the council needs to make the decision before any timeline can be put in place.
