On this weekend’s edition of Archival Moments on VOCM, we said goodbye to a friend and colleague.
Larry Dohey, who co-hosted Archival Moments with Brian O’Connell for almost three years, died suddenly earlier this week at the age of 59.
The final episode of the program, hosted by O’Connell, pays tribute to the life and career of Dohey and features special guests Greg Walsh, Mark Critch, Mike Campbell, and Larry Dohey’s brother, Father Wayne Dohey.

Walsh, a fellow archivist and colleague of Dohey at The Rooms, reflects on how infectious Dohey’s passion was.
He says whenever a significant artifact would come into the rooms they would exclaim to eachother “hey, want to see something cool?” Walsh says now other staff in the rooms do the same thing with him.
To close out the program, O’connell let his late friend have the final word. In a soundbyte from a previous show, Dohey thanks O’connell for coming over.
The full episode can be heard in it’s entirety below.
