A woman in Labrador City is raising money for a local family in need a special piece of equipment for their teenage son.

15-year-old Evan Alexander has Cerebral Palsy. Family friend, Lisa Lowe, says his parents, Sheldon and Cindy, have provided everything for his care.

She says the family has given a lot to the community of Labrador City and it is time for the community to give back to them.

Bathing Evan has become more difficult as he continues to grow and the Janeway has suggested he would benefit from a new tub system. Lowe says the new system will cost them at least $14,500.

Lowe has reached out to family and friends over Facebook and is raising money for the family through a GoFundMe page.

She says the couple has agreed to allow her to start a GoFundMe page. She says they are the type of people who would never ask for anything.
