A happy ending this morning to a pet owner’s worst nightmare.
Robert Rose and his family were camping at the RV Park near Avondale when Labour Day fireworks went off last evening.
One year old Charlie—a black standard poodle—panicked at the first pop, wiggled out of his collar and took off.
While searching for Charlie, a report came in that someone had hit a dog on the highway. Fearing the worst, Rose went to the area and coincidentally found his dog in the area—alive and well.
Rose says he was overwhelmed when Charlie was found.
He says he broke down, because Charlie is just like one of his kids. Rose says he wants to thank everyone for helping him out last night.
