Reports of a disturbance in the Columbus Drive/Topsail Road area of St. John’s turned out to be the end of a different crime that had already occurred.
RNC officers were called just after lunch Sunday to find a chase in progress. Employees of a nearby store were running after a 39-year-old man suspected of theft.
Police were able to nab the suspect, who was charged with theft and three breaches of court orders. He was held for court.
