It has been a deadly Labour Day Weekend on our province’s highways.
A single-vehicle crash on the highway near Port aux Basques on Friday morning claimed the life of a woman. Few details are available at this time, but indications are that the accident occurred near Cape Ray.
There was also a fatal crash in Conception Bay North. A 57-year-old man was rushed to Carbonear General after a single-vehicle accident Saturday night around 8:30. He died shortly after arrival.
The cause remains under investigation.
