Musicians in the province are mourning the loss of a huge supporter and fixture in their tight knit community.

Gerard Drover was well known for his work at CB Music in Bay Roberts, fostering the talents of many performers.

Tributes have been pouring in online since the news of his passing.

The band Greeley’s Reel took to Facebook, remarking on his tireless work in supporting musicians and performers.

Drover was a fabulous musician in his own right and an all-around “gentle giant.”
