Injuries suffered in what appears to be a stabbing downtown St. John’s Monday night are not believed to be life-threatening.
The RNC went to a residence downtown shortly after midnight and found a 25-year-old man inside who was injured. The suspect had fled on foot before police arrived.
A short time later, officers located a person believed to have been involved in the incident. The RNC say there is no perceived risk to the public as the people involved are known to each other.
It was the third stabbing in the downtown area in the past two weeks or so.
Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact either them at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
