The Little Bay Fire Department will not have to use their pick up truck anymore as they make steps to raising funds for their new fire truck.

The residents of St. Patrick’s, Little Bay and Beachside have been chasing the ace for over 10 months.

The ace went Thursday night with the winner bringing home around $40,000. In total, the game raised $100,000 for the new truck.

Deputy Mayor of Beachside, Nancy Bowers, says the ace was a social gathering but also a way for them to replace their old 1987 Chevrolet.

The new truck was needed a while ago but funding was not available.

Bowers says they have been using a pickup truck to carry the water pump. Water must be pumped from town to town and she says they barely have had anything to work with.
