A police encounter with a drunk man on Main Street in Corner Brook escalated quickly last night.
Around 9:30 RNC officers responded to a complaint of an unruly and intoxicated man in the area.
When police approached the 57-year-old, he threatened to kill the officer, as well as a correctional officer.
The man was arrested and charged with the threats, as well as breach of probation. He was held for court.
