Expect some significant delays on parts of the Conception Bay Highway during certain periods today, especially eastbound.
The TCH just east of the Avondale Access is now sliced open to make way for new culverts. That means eastbound traffic on the TCH is being diverted through the Avondale Access Road while westbound has to go through Holyrood or CBS.

Most of the pressure for now is eastbound, but that will likely change this afternoon when people leave metro for points west.
Highway officials hope to partially reopen the TCH at 6:00 Tuesday morning.
