Expect some major delays on parts of the Conception Bay Highway this weekend.
The TCH just east of the Avondale Access is now sliced open to make way for new culverts. That means eastbound traffic on the TCH is being diverted through the Avondale Access Road while westbound has to go through Holyrood or CBS.
Drivers in the area have told VOCM News that delays can be up to 90 minutes, depending on how heavy traffic is.

Westbound traffic was flowing but eastbound traffic was bumper-to bumper Saturday afternoon.
The TCH is scheduled to reopen Tuesday.
