A P.E.I. couple with the dream of having Newfoundland’s own Alan Doyle play their wedding had their dream come true over the weekend.
Dana McKinlay and Stewart Dowd laid out their plan on Twitter back in February of 2018 – for the next 582 days, they were going to post one story or photo a day about the adventures of their lives together, with Alan Doyle’s music as the backdrop – all in hopes of getting the man to play their wedding.

The two have travelled the world with Alan Doyle and Great Big Sea as the soundtrack to their lives.
Their plan worked, as Doyle ultimately ended up surprising the happy couple on their wedding day, Sunday, in Charlottetown, P.E.I..
