Over 650 runners will take to the streets this weekend to tackle Canada’s oldest-running marathon.
The Capital Subaru “Huffin’ Puffin,” now in its 68th year, will wind its way through parts of the capital city as folks take on the marathon loop.
On Sunday, starting at 7:00 a.m., there will be several closures of one-way routes through the city as runners set out from Bowring Park. Event organizers say traffic marshals will be at all intersections to help vehicles safely arrive at their destination.
The loop travels from Bowring Park to downtown St. John’s, around Quidi Vidi Lake before returning to the park.
