The RCMP are investigating an incident involving students in a wooded area near Carbonear Collegiate.

A video shared on social media shows two teens and a group of students apparently egging them on in a confrontation. The students can be heard saying things like “come on” and “just smack him.”

The English School District says while it cannot publicly comment on individual situations, it takes any allegations of bullying or harassment very seriously and they will not tolerate abuse or discrimination of any kind.

The district says when an incident is reported the school investigates and follows up with students, families and others as necessary.

RCMP confirm a complaint was received and they are investigating.
