There were no injuries in a recent RV fire near Whitbourne that left the vehicle heavily damaged.

Whitbourne Fire Chief Jamie Budden says the department responded to a camper on Lahey’s Road on Monday.

When crews arrived, they found the vehicle filled with heavy smoke.

A search of the camper revealed no one inside, and they set out to extinguish the blaze. The owners were not in the area.

Chief Budden says they did not have to gain entry through force.

The scene was then turned over to RCMP for investigation.
