A moose statue built out of rocks is attracting the attention of passersby in Trinity Bay.

Gail Davis-Mercer posted pictures of the creation in the NL Rock Art Facebook Page yesterday.

Mercer says she noticed the makeshift statue while she was driving from the community of Chance Cove to Bellevue on Friday.

She says her dog was barking it thought the statue was real, and she even admits she had to take a second look.
