Police concluded a renewed search for Raymond Halleran on the weekend with no new clues as to his whereabouts.
The 49-year-old man was reported missing after leaving his St. Vincent’s home in January of 2018.
Some 50 people were involved in Saturday’s effort which included police, ground search and rescue teams, a boat searching the shoreline and a drone in the air.
Director of Strategic Communications with the RCMP, Glenda Power says major cases are reviewed periodically by the investigative team. She says the investigators decided to go back to ground zero for the investigation which was Halleran’s residence, and move out from there because that is where he was last seen.
Unfortunately, nothing was found that was relevant to the case, says Power.
Raymond Halleran is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 175 lbs. He has grey eyes and brown hair that may have been dyed purple. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, khaki shoes and a camouflage jacket and hat. He was carrying a black duffle bag.
Anyone with information on the location of Raymond Halleran, or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance is asked to call Ferryland RCMP.
