Traffic will be slowed on Water Street today and tomorrow as part of the Water Street infrastructure rehabilitation project.

The work is so the city can do a little more investigation into the sewer in the area.

Mayor Danny Breen says the work is actually a part of the next phase of the work, to be completed next year. He says the work is so the contractor and the city can make sure they have everything properly planned to begin the next phase.

The work will be done from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. today and tomorrow, on Water Street from Queen Street to Prescott Street.

As crews access each manhole, there will be a loss of parking in those areas for up to two hours.

Expect delays in the area.
