Two separate armed robberies in Grand Falls-Windsor last night resulted in confrontations that left two people injured.
RCMP say it is not clear if both incidents are connected.
A store owner received a minor injury after confronting an armed suspect who entered the Kwik Stop Convenience Store on Bond Street around 9:45 last night and demanded money. The suspect left the scene.
At around 11:30 police received a second report involving an armed suspect who entered Bride’s Snack Bar on Lincoln Road and demanded cash.
The store owner approached the suspect and a confrontation ensued, as the suspect was fleeing the area, he was confronted by a customer and the store owner. The customer received a minor injury as a result of the confrontation.
