St. John’s East is considered a riding to watch in the federal election as a former MP is trying to win back the seat. It is also the battleground for a debate today.
The St. John’s Board of Trade is hosting the debate with Jack Harris of the NDP, Conservative Joedy Wall and Liberal Nick Whalen. Whalen took the seat from Harris four years ago.
The debate runs from 11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Bella Vista.
