We dodged a bullet last week in terms of fuel prices, but we won’t be so lucky this week.
That’s according to George Murphy of the Consumer Group for Fair Gas Prices.
In the immediate aftermath of attacks on a Saudi Arabian oil field, prices were kept relatively low last week.
However, according to Murphy, increases across the board are anticipated for this week.
Heating and stove oils will be hit hardest, showing an increase of 3.1 cents, diesel is expected to increase by 2.9 cents, and gas is expected to go up by 2.4 cents per litre.
