RCMP are shedding more light on the nature of the threats made against wood cutters in the Port Blandford area.
Social media posts made reference to spikes or rebar being placed in trees in areas where harvesting had been approved.
That prompted the provincial government to issue a warning to wood cutters late last week to cease operations in the area for their own safety.
RCMP say no incidents of mischief have been verified to date.
The investigation is continuing.
